With around 1 in 4 vehicles entering the shops with an undercharged battery, premature battery failure during service or diagnostic work is becoming increasingly common – not good for the shop in terms of both productivity and profit. With the MXS25EC these problems can be avoided.
The MXS 25EC restores, charges & reconditions the battery using a patented multi-step charging process. It’s compatible with all types of 12V battery lead-acid battery including those supporting Start-Stop functions increasingly found on imported vehicles.
The MXS25EC is an ideal power supply for supporting diagnostic, procedures that require the vehicle’s ignition to be switched on for long periods. Providing up to 25A of clean current at a constant 13.6V, the MXS 25EC has extremely stable output, offering total security during diagnostic work on sensitive electronics. Due to its inherently low voltage ripple, low current ripple and a range of integrated safety features, the MXS 25EC is safe for the battery and the vehicle’s delicate electronic systems.
The MXS25EC is designed to be user-friendly, it has a simple interface based around a Mode button, which can be used to select battery charging, battery reconditioning or constant power supply.
The MXS25EC is designed for use in even the toughest shop environment and is built to last. It is supplied with 19’ DC cables with an integral hanging bracket and heavy-duty clamps. The strong polycarbonate body is built to last and the small size – achieved by the advanced electronic design – means it is highly portable.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2017, CTEK was formed by Creator Teknisk Utveckling AB, a leading Swedish industrial design consulting firm. A major battery manufacturer hired Creator for research and development of batteries and later for research on a new system of battery chargers. CTEK emerged from the innovative charging solutions that were developed to meet the requirements for the maintenance of this new generation of batteries.
