The Future is Electric
Just a few years ago, it seemed as though electric vehicles were still a little too luxurious for the every day driver. However, with North American vehicle manufacturing forerunners like Ford and Chevrolet coming out with fully electric vehicles this year and in 2021, you can expect electric vehicles to be more affordable than ever.
Boasting an estimated 300 mile range for their newest member of the Mustang family, Ford expects to bring their fully electric Mustang Mach-E to market by Spring of 2021. In addition to the long battery life, Ford is still promising "0-60 thrills with zero emissions" for their speed enthusiasts.
While the Mustang Mach-E is still geared toward the sports car fanatic, the Chevrolet Bolt EV is built with "advanced safety, and plenty of space" in mind. The 2020 model is estimated to have up to a 259 mile range on full charge.
While we still have a long way to go to in order to create the same infrastructure for electric vehicles as we have for gasoline-powered vehicles, more and more businesses are adding electric charging stations every day. It sure seems as though modern electric vehicle manufacturers are quickly crushing the ever-common fear and anxiety of "running out of battery." And with more public charging opportunities being added every day, daily use of an electric vehicle is far more feasible for the average consumer. Add the power and security of CTEK battery chargers to your vehicle maintenance arsenal, and all of the sudden owning an electric vehicle doesn't seem so scary after-all!
