CTEK has become the most trusted name in battery charging.
Twinsburg, Ohio – CTEK will showcase the company’s newest charger, the Lithium US, at the 2013 AAPEX and SEMA shows in Las Vegas. The CTEK Lithium US charger is specifically designed to properly recharge and maintain the cells of lithium-iron (LiFePO4) batteries.
Lithium-Iron (LiFePO4) batteries are growing in popularity because they are powerful and lightweight, which contributes to improved performance and efficiency. However this technology has specific requirements when it comes to proper charging and maintenance. The CTEK Lithium US uses patented CTEK technology to safely charge the batteries to maximum capacity while using a special feature that gives the lithium-iron batteries the proper time to internally balance voltage between cells.
Undercharging of lithium-iron (LiFePO4) batteries can be as detrimental to battery life as overcharging, so the CTEK Lithium US charger has been designed to remain connected for extended periods of time. This allows the charger to constantly maintain a peak charge utilizing patented float and pulse charging technology. Unique to CTEK, the Lithium US features a mode that verifies that the battery can properly accept a charge after a deep discharge situation, which allows the battery to be safely restored and recharged. The CTEK Lithium US also features a mode that will reset the battery’s BMS (battery management system) under-voltage protection if the voltage drops too low. For more information on the Lithium US and CTEK’s full-line of battery chargers and accessories, please visit them at AAPEX booth #674 and SEMA booth #10543.
The CTEK Lithium US sells for an M.S.R.P. of $119.99 (U.S.).

CTEK Sponsored Motorcyclist Valerie Thompson becomes newest member of BUB Speed Trials “201 MPH Club” at Bonneville Salt Flats
Twinsburg, Ohio – Valerie Thompson, the CTEK Power Inc. sponsored owner/driver of Valerie Thompson Racing (VTR), joined the “201 MPH Club” after posting a record two-way average speed of 201.02 MPH in the 1000cc MPS/AG class at the recent Motorcycle-only BUB Speed Trials. Valerie held this record for only a short period, as her record was surpassed later in the event. “They say you don’t own a record, they are only on loan. It would have been nice if they loaned it to me for a bit longer,” said a smiling Thompson.
“Because of the support of our sponsors and partners such as CTEK, our BMW was perfectly prepared and performing much better at BUB as soon as it rolled-off the trailer. Even with the strong winds I achieved a long-time goal of joining the BUB 201 MPH Club here on the Salt,” stated Thompson. “I’ve taken my BMW over 200 mph multiple times, but it was always on paved tracks. Exceeding 200 mph on the salt at Bonneville is extremely gratifying due to the difficulty to achieve those speeds on the irregular, unpredictable surface,” added Thompson.
“Valerie has a passion for speed that runs deep, and her enthusiasm and personality draw others into her quest for more and more velocity,” said Ken Palmman, general manager, CTEK Power Inc. “At CTEK we are happy to be a part of Valerie’s program, and be able to take part in her journey. Valerie does a great job of promoting CTEK at events, and makes sure all of her fans feel like part of the team.”
