CTEK PARTNERS WITH PIRELLI FORP ZERO WORLDLOS ANGELES
Display vehicles in Pirelli flagship store will be maintained by CTEK Battery Chargers and accessories
CTEK Power, Inc.–the world’s leading automotive Battery Charger manufacturer – is delighted to announce a partnership with Pirelli for the Los Angeles-based P Zero World.
Launched to the media and celebrities in a star-studded grand opening last summer, P Zero World is the first of a new premium retail and brand experience for Pirelli. Centers such as this will be opened in key cities around the world, offering class-leading products and world-class service for drivers who expect the very best.
Part of the overall experience when entering P Zero World is the stunning array of Pirelli-shod vehicles for visitors to admire. According to Pirelli Prestige Activation Manager, Kevin Hinton, “We select the finest cars from around the world to display. The only prerequisite is that they come equipped with Pirelli tires. And since Pirelli provides rubber to most of the world’s finest automobiles, it guarantees visitors a memorable experience.
“We are curators for the display cars over extended periods of time, and during their stay we like to ensure the vehicles are always ready for action. As a result, we were delighted to partner with CTEK for its world-class battery charging products.”
Jon Lind, CEO for CTEK Sweden is also delighted to be able to contribute to the smooth operation of P Zero World. “As you may know, CTEK battery management solutions are offered as genuine accessories by the vast majority of premium car manufacturers, including most of the vehicles displayed at P Zero World. Therefore, it was only natural that we would provide the center with our range of battery chargers and accessories to keep its impressive inventory in top condition.”
Among the CTEK products in use at P Zero World are the MUS 4.3battery chargers. These “smart chargers” communicate with the battery to ensure it is fully charged and maintained. They are also able to recondition the battery if it is suffering from common problems such as acid stratification.
Like all CTEK chargers, the MUS 4.3 uses a multi-stage charging process, eight steps in this case, to ensure optimal charging. In fact, independent tests have proven that regular battery maintenance can extend battery life by up to three times –a statistic that becomes more significant when many supercars tuck their batteries out of sight to obtain perfect weight distribution, but make battery changes expensive and time-consuming.
Among the CTEK accessories provided to P Zero World is the CTEK Battery Sense. This ingenious device puts battery knowledge in your pocket thanks to its Bluetooth connectivity. It allows users to pair it with their smartphone, gaining access to battery status and push notifications to remind you to check and charge the battery.
All CTEK battery chargers can be connected to a vehicle safely and indefinitely without damaging either the battery or the vehicle’s delicate electronics. The CTEK Battery Sense perfectly complements this feature by ensuring the owner can regularly and remotely check on battery condition. So, whether it’s a daily driver that has been exposed to snow all weekend, a beloved classic that sits out the winter, or a power sports machine that doesn’t get used once the mercury drops, Battery Sense will keep you informed about battery condition and the vehicle’s status. It means you’ll know it’s ready to go whenever you are!
Installing Battery Sense to the display vehicles as they arrive at P Zero World means Prestige Activation Manager Kevin Hinton instantly knows the status of each car. He knows if it’s ready to drive or should be charged beforehand. Of course, the best way to keep a car in top condition is to keep the battery fully charged–even new cars, which typically suffer parasitic losses from their electrical systems while parked. With his CTEK battery management solutions, Kevin will keep the cars at P Zero World connected and primed for action.
CTEK Battery Chargers and Battery Sense are available from leading automotive outlets such as Turn 14 and Amazon.

Formula DRIFT champion adds CTEK Smarter Chargers to his toolbox
CTEK Power, Inc., the leaders in battery management solutions, is sponsoring Formula DRIFT World Champion driver Fredric Aasbo this season as he continues his global drifting challenge. The Norwegian driver headed to Montreal, Canada, last weekend on a hot streak, having taken the win last weekend in the Gatebil Super 3 Team Drift Competition held at Rudskogen Motorpark in Norway. On the back of that result, we are excited to report that Frederic also won the Canadian round and moved within three points of the Formula DRIFT championship lead.
“We are extremely excited to start this strong involvement in Formula DRIFT championship through our sponsorship of Fredric Aasbo,” said Bobbie DuMelle, Executive Vice President of CTEK. “There are many synergies between Fredric and CTEK. We both have the same winning core values, based on attitude and performance, and as a fellow Scandinavian too he’s the perfect match!”
“As a brand ambassador, Frederic gives us a great link to motorsport, where battery performance can be the key to winning vehicle performance –after all, if the car won’t start, you’re not going to win! CTEK is looking forward to an exciting season with Frederic and we wish him all the best,” Bobbie continued. Aasbo is currently second in the Formula DRIFT points in the Papadakis Racing Rockstar Energy Drink / Nexen Tire SR by Toyota tC. The team won the Montreal event last year, scoring the top qualifying position and winning every head-to-head battle en route to victory. Despite a washed-out qualifying this year, Frederic managed to repeat his podium position.
“I’m really excited to be working with CTEK this season,” said Aasbo. “As I compete around the world, every car I drive can benefit from having the battery maintained at the optimal charge –whether it’s at the track during the weekends, or when I return home after traveling. Good battery management will keep me moving.
“CTEK, which is headquartered in Sweden, has developed Smarter Battery Chargers that monitor battery health and respond by delivering the appropriate level of charge without damaging the battery or the vehicle’s sensitive electronics. They ensure that a vehicle is ready to go whenever you are, delivering peak performance in all conditions. Whether it’s a family struggling to get home though a winter storm or a racecar starting for the first time after a few weeks away from the track, it’s important that the battery is in optimal condition to provide peak performance and durability. Careful battery conditioning and charging is shown to extend battery life by up to three times, providing peace of mind for cars that are used every day or parked for extended periods.
Aasbo runs one of the most ambitious international drifting campaigns on the planet, with a full commitment on the North American Formula DRIFT championship with Papadakis Racing, as well as competing in special events in Europe, such as the season highlight at the Gatebil Festival, plus select dates in Asia.
Drifting is a high-skill, high-power motorsport with an emphasis on car control. Drivers compete in knockout heats on a closed course, sliding sideways in trials judged on speed and style. With its origins in Japan, it is one of the fastest growing forms of motorsport in the world, with one of the largest online audiences of any motorsport series.

NEW CTEK MXS5.0 BATTERY CHARGER NOW AVAILABLE NATIONWIDE
CTEK Power, Inc.–the world’s leading automotive Battery Charging and Maintenance company–is happy to announce that the new MXS5.0 smart Battery Charger is now available through its national network of outlets.
The CTEK MXS5.0 made its North American debut at the 2016SEMA Show, where pre-production examples were on display. The MXS 5.0represents the first in a series of new generation chargers from CTEK, providing even more great features to ensure drivers can maximize their battery performance. It is the first CTEK product to be sold in North America using the new 5.0 platform and will be followed by a number of other specialized battery chargers based on similar technology.
What’s more, the MXS 5.0 is already tried and thoroughly tested. Launched first in Europe, this model has won numerous industry and media tests, leaving the competition in its dust.
The CTEK MXS5.0offers 4.3amp charging current as well as the company’s industry leading, eight-step battery care program. Available at the touch of a button, each stage ensures that any lead-acid battery is optimally conditioned, charged and maintained. What’s more, it can maintain a battery indefinitely, if required, without the risk of damage to the battery or delicate vehicle electronics.
The unique combination of advanced charging modes, combined with new automatic temperature compensation and greater cable strain values mean the MXS5.0 is the fastest, most efficient, versatile and robust consumer charger CTEK has produced to date.
Pressing the single Mode button allows the user access to the powerful features of the MXS5.0. The “CAR” symbol, for example, will deliver an intelligent charge to the batteries in cars and larger vehicles, as well as larger leisure batteries. The stop/start functionality on many modern cars puts the battery under tremendous strain, so a special AGM function within the charger’s programming can help to increase the battery life by up to three times.
Another press of the Mode button allows the user to choose “RECOND.” This setting can return a battery to its maximum energy storage capacity, even after a battery has been deeply discharged(batteries can be revived from as low as 2-volts). The Reconditioning function can restore older batteries to their former glory, extending their life and keeping money in your pocket.
The “MOTORCYCLE” symbol is intended for use with smaller batteries. It delivers the same eight-step charging program to care for the battery but at a lower 0.8-amp level of charge. It is ideal for motorcycles, UTVs, jet skis, lawn tractors and more.
The MXS5.0 has two battery analysis programs, which can quickly identify whether the battery is capable of taking and holding a charge. The integration of an Automatic Temperature Sensor means the MXS 5.0 Battery Charger will continually adjust the charge rate depending on ambient temperature to achieve maximum charge levels.
“CTEK has developed the ultimate smart battery charger, which offers the consumer maximum flexibility and charges all 12-volt lead-acid batteries, regardless of the vehicle type, battery chemistry, state of charge or size,” said Bobbie DuMelle, Executive Vice President for CTEK.
The new generation CTEK MXS5.0 revives, charges, conditions and maintains all types of 12V lead-acid batteries such as maintenance-free types and chemistries including Wet, Calcium, GEL and AGM, as well as different size batteries for cars, motorcycles, UTV, watercraft and more.
Patented float and pulse maintenance stages ensure that once fully charged, the battery can be maintained indefinitely on vehicles that are unused or stored for an extended period, without the risk of over or under-charging. All CTEK battery chargers deliver extremely clean voltage and current, with very little supply ripple to ensure sensitive vehicle electronics are protected. This also means the battery does not need to be disconnected while charging.
The new CTEK MXS5.0 is safe for the user thanks to a welded casing, which seals the smart battery charger against dust and moisture. It also employs a new cable design to provide improved flexibility and protect against the risk of cable breakage, particularly in extremely cold weather.
The CTEK MXS5.0 is fully automatic, and fool proof to connect thanks to a one-way quick connector. This is spark-proof and reverse-polarity protected for user safety.
The CTEK MXS5.0 Battery Charger comes with a free five-year warranty, is easy to operate, fully automatic and requires no specialist knowledge to use –an easy to understand display allows the complete charging process to be followed.
The MSRP is $92.99and a full range of CTEK connection and convenience accessories are available for added flexibility.

CTEK LICENSES WITRICITY TECHNOLOGY FOR WIRELESS VEHICLE BATTERY CHARGING
Leading battery charger manufacturer looks to revolutionize the automotive battery charging industry.
Modern vehicles are totally reliant upon their electrical systems, with car manufacturers running everything from GPS navigation to electric power steering, stability control, adjustable suspension systems and so much more from the car’s electrical circuits. Most vehicles also rely on a charged battery to allow vehicle access, so a dead battery can ruin the start to anybody’s day.
With such dependence on the electrical system, the importance of keeping a vehicle’s battery charged and in top condition is crucial to its performance and reliability. This has been recognized for many years, which is why most premium carmakers specify CTEK battery chargers and maintainers to their customers, providing them as approved genuine accessories – some specialized vehicles are even supplied with a CTEK charger as standard equipment.
As the world’s leading automotive battery charger manufacturer, CTEK is always looking for ways to make its products even easier to use. They currently have simple one-button operation, easy-to-connect terminals, battery charge indicators and non-reversible connectors. The next step in this development will be heralded by the advent of wireless power transfer using magnetic resonance, initiating a new era in automotive battery charging.
With an eye to the future, CTEK Corporation has announced a technology and patent license agreement with WiTricity: the industry pioneer in wireless power transfer over distance. The licensing agreement enables CTEK to commercialize WiTricity’s patented technology to create high performance, efficient wireless charging systems for a wide range of battery charging and battery conditioning applications in various automotive and powersports applications.
“CTEK will adopt WiTricity’s technology to revolutionize battery charging by removing the need for cables in a wide range of automotive, industrial and recreational vehicle battery systems, eliminating the need for our customers to plug in,” said CTEK CEO, Jon Lind. “We are excited to be on the forefront of the next generation of battery charging products for consumers and the automotive industry, and look forward to leveraging WiTricity’s ground-breaking technology to bring a new level of convenience and ease of use to market.”
Under the terms of this licensing agreement, CTEK will be able to create wireless charging solutions based on WiTricity technology for a wide range of vehicle battery systems. By providing a flexible and efficient method of wireless power transfer, CTEK will begin to develop a line of products that will bring a new level of convenience and ease to battery charging.
Future applications should make it possible for drivers to simply park over a contact patch in their garage or parking spot, leaving the battery to charge in their absence. Owners who have vehicles for occasional use, such as classic cars or powersports machines that only come out at the weekend, could also take advantage of such a device.
Among the myriad of potential uses for this new technology, emergency vehicles could be among the first to benefit. First responders need their vehicles to start first time, every time, maintaining electrical systems while the vehicle is parked.
Since its founding, CTEK has sold more than 6.2 million battery chargers in 70 countries around the world. CTEK is a trusted supplier to many of the world’s most respected car and motorcycle manufacturers, and has won more than 15 different independent battery charger awards since 2005.
“WiTricity is excited to partner with CTEK, a company that is respected for both its technical prowess and worldwide distribution network,” said WiTricity CEO Alex Gruzen. “CTEK is a world leader in designing charging systems for a wide range of applications, and has a number of technologies to complement WiTricity’s cutting edge wireless power transfer technology. In addition to its worldwide reach in consumer markets, CTEK is well positioned within Europe to work with WiTricity in providing a variety of customized battery charging solutions for industrial and transportation applications.”
