The Smartpass 120S provides a 140A charge, prioritizing power from the alternator and charging the service battery. The Smartpass 120S automatically separates the power between the service and starter batteries, distributing the power between them without having to use the traditional diodes or voltage-sensitive relays.
The Smartpass 120S provides you with a sense of security and safety. The unit has a Battery Guard function that protects the service battery. The function makes sure that you always have power for emergency lights and communication systems. Battery Guard makes sure that critical systems take priority over non-critical ones and protects the service battery from total discharge and overheating. If needed, the Start Assistance function can divert power from the service battery to the starter, if the starter battery is dead.
